Elveen Shakya

Chairperson and Co-Founder

Evleen has been a part of Kalyani since its inception and is now looking after the organization full time. She worked at Beed Management specifically in management consulting and Nepal Economic Forum. She is an MBA graduate from the Ace Institute of Management.

Alisha Shrestha

General Secretary and Co-Founder

Alisha is the co-founder and General Secretary at Kalyani. She is currently working as a Project Manager at Quest Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. For the first three years of Kalyani's establishment, Alisha served as a Treasurer for the organization.

Alisha graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Master of Science in Applied Carbon Management.

Prakrit Manandhar

Treasurer and Co-founder

Prakrit is the co-founder and treasurer at Kalyani. He recently graduated from Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) with a bachelor's in business administration (BBA) degree. He currently works at Biruwa Advisors, a management and business consultant, as Junior Associate.

Prakrit, through his work at Kalyani, encourages men to stand up for women's rights and gender equality.

Aditi Sharma

Board Member and Co-Founder

Aditi served as Board Chair for the first three years of Kalyani's establishment and continues to work with the organization as a board member. Aditi has led several projects at Kalyani including the Menstrual Hygiene Training Program at Surkhet Nepal.

She is a fierce advocate for menstrual health and hygiene and is currently pursuing her DrPH at the Pennsylvania State University. Aditi is also a young leader at Women Deliver, New York.

Kanchan Shrestha

Board Memmber

Kanchan joined Kalyani in July, 2015 as a board member. She supported in planning and execution of menstrual hygiene projects of Kalyani. From 2017-19, she served as the Board Chair of the organization.

Kanchan graduated from The University of Sheffield with Master of Public Health.

Tenzing Peldon Nepali

Board Member and Co-Founder

Tenzing is a finance and operations associate working at Tesla. She graduated from Thunderbird School of Global Management with an MBA and an MA in Global Affairs and Management.

Tenzing has helped raise funds for Kalyani through various crowdfunding campaigns and is virtually involved in all of Kalyani activities.

Tenzing Shaldon

Board Member and Co-founder

Tenzing is a co-founder and board member at Kalyani. She recently graduated from University of Melbourne with a Master of Management degree.

Tenzing's involvement with Rose Foundation Nepal, an NGO working to raise awareness on cancer, has led to Kalyani's partnership with Rose to host our annual fundraising event 'Shivangi's Night for Charity' that raises funds for underprivileged children fighting cancer.
